‘Rona came to visit

Yes, I finally got the dreaded virus – so hello 7 days of isolation, then my poor husband got it which turned into 14 days. After losing a few days to coughing, sniffling and fevers, I made the most of my time in the studio: recycling clay, tidying the shelves and of course making teapots! Below are works in progress that I have enjoyed creating with a bit less hurry and distractions than usual.

I also finished a few sample beakers from the recent surface treatment workshop I gave in Redcliffe. I’ve since made a few more which will have a touch of gold added to increase their beautiful blinginess! These have a variety of techniques applied such as slip decoration, inlay, resist, sgraffitto and stencils plus underglaze painting. There are some of these colourful beakers for sale at e360 Design on Gallery Walk, Mount Tamborine.
