did I say the last market?

Ah well! This is definitely the last market before Christmas! And for 2019…I think….

This Sunday 6 December Tamborine Mountain Country Market, (Check out the market’s FB page for more info) PJ Pottery will have a stall with loads of Christmas specials and a summer feature of the popular pastel range including the new limited edition range of translucent porcelain jewellery.

And sharing the Christmas love a bit further, PJ Pottery will give 10% of all cash sales to the Red Cross Drought Appeal

the studio build

the studio build It has taken five months but it’s been worth the wait. My studio is nearly finished and the kiln is in and connected. All that is left to do is the finishing touches and to unpack all my pottery gear. Easy peasy, right?

Now I can get back to creating in this beautiful new space built by my incredibly clever partner, Steve. Check out his Facebook page Steve Morgan Metal Art

new year, new directions

new year, new directions

so…here we are in 2019, with loads of plans and fresh new year’s resolutions. PJ Pottery has recently moved from the Sunshine Coast to the Mt Tamborine in the Gold Coast hinterland so the set up of the new studio has been all consuming but – we are nearly there! Check out our build HERE

The big news is the XX FACTOR exhibition at the Butter Factory Arts Centre, Cooroy, if you’re around  come in, say hi, buy a piece or two.

The concept behind the XX Factor exhibition was designed to shine a light on the extraordinary talent of the Sunshine Coast region’s women ceramic artists, dedicated to their unique creativity and that mighty XX factor. The rationale for the theme to create works of scale and gusto over half a metre in size was to unify the display, offer a challenge to the participating women artists and create a spectacular exhibition.

Initiated and driven by ceramicist, Nicci Parry-Jones – who will co-curate the exhibition at the BFAC – this show will coincide with International Women’s Day 2019 (7 March) with generous support from WINDO and the Noosa Regional Council through  a grant from the Regional Arts Development Fund.  The XX Factor exhibition opens 3pm Sunday 3 March at the Butter Factory Arts Centre, 11A Maple St, Cooroy, Qld. This will be the official opening of 3 exhibitions to celebrate women artists from the region, more details here.
