Summer Clay Sessions
This is a 4 week intensive throwing course. Suitable for those with basic throwing skills.

These are small private pottery classes on Tamborine Mountain at the PJ Pottery studio. Not only do we cover the basics of hand building we also get on the wheel for some throwing. These are usually ten week terms during Qld school terms.
Term 4 classes for 2025 are full, but you can pop yourself on the waiting list, email for details. There are sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and on Thursday mornings from 9am to 12pm. Besides learning about this wonderful craft, you will also meet and study with a great bunch of like-minded people.
Ten week term classes @ PJ Pottery Mt Tamborine
Tuesday, Wednesday + Thursday nights pottery classes and Thursday morning classes 9am-12pm (term 4, 2025 classes are full)
- 10 week terms, 3 hour weekly classes through Qld school terms
- structured program for beginners to intermediate students
- maximum 5 students per class
- Current term fee $485. This includes: tuition in hand building and throwing, firing and glazing costs. Some additional fees will apply to extra surface decoration materials
- byo clay and tools (a list will be provided to students)
- session times Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night classes 5.30-8.30pm

Throwing: Fine tuning + tackling the tricky bits – one-day workshop
11 May: This workshop is for folk with basic to intermediate throwing skills. Hosted by Ceramic Arts Qld and held at Brisbane Institute of Art, Windsor. The workshop will cover lidded vessels, foot rings, bellied forms, two-part forms and then individual tuition while attendees are throwing.

These are one or two day intense masterclasses and workshops. I come to you and your pottery group or organisation. I have conducted these workshops for many years across NSW and Qld to individuals, schools and pottery groups and can tailor workshops to suit your needs.
As a general rule, a full day workshop is approximately $850 plus travel and accommodation (if applicable) for a group with 12-14 students for hands-on workshops.
